Setting up the RTA Mic
Note: The RTA microphone is used to capture the venue's in-house sound, analyze the acoustics of the room, and provide an accurate house reference for our remote engineers.

Because of this, the microphone needs to be placed in an area where it is exposed to the speaker/house sounds.

a. If the R-Device is in a location close to the audience and exposed to the range of the venue speakers, place the RTA mic in an elevated position in close proximity to the R-Device. Connect the female side of the 4 ft. XLR cable to the RTA mic and the male side to the combo XLR input of the R-Device.

b. If your R-Device is in an isolated area far from the audience and out of range of the speakers, position the RTA Mic as close to the audience as possible (where it is in range of the speakers). You will need to prepare a longer XLR cable based on the distance, and connect the female side to the RTA mic, and the male side to the combo XLR input of the R-Device.
5.
Setting up the
USB Video Camera
Note: The USB Camera is used to send real-time video signal to the remote engineer, so that they are able to make audio adjustments based on any visual cues or actions.
